Poetry Wales Interview Comes Out

The editor of Poetry Wales - Zoe Brigley - very kindly invited me to be interviewed for their How I Write A Poem section. The poem was Note on the Lure which was about an intergenerational moment on Morfa Bychan beach in North Wales with my partner and a younger couple, my niece, Zena and her boyfriend, Nathan. Zena had recently lost one of her closest friends, Liv, and was in an intense state of grief. The poem is about whether we, the olders, can stand back and let the younger ones go wild with emotion in the waves. Stepping back is the most important bit of it.
